Last week I finished this knitted dress for my 1 year old toddler. It looks pretty good, so I’m going to share my pattern here. Please forgive me if I made mistake with the pattern. You can share your opinion in the comment section.<\/p>\n

Charlotte’s Dress Knitting Pattern<\/span><\/p>\n

Pattern written on: September 30th, 2014<\/em>

Size: 1 year old (as a dress), or 1.5 – 2 years old (as a tunic)<\/p>\n

Yarn: 100% cotton, light worsted (I used local cotton yarn with no label and information on it. But I think 400 meter should be more than enough.)<\/p>\n

Needle: Circular needles\/DPNs, US size 7 or 4.5mm<\/p>\n

Gauge: 2 x 2 inches = 10 stitches x 15 rows<\/p>\n

Crochet hook size 5mm<\/p>\n

Pattern is working from bottom to top, join in the round from the bottom until ribbed section, and then working in flat for the top area, started from the front and then the back part.<\/p>\n

INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

1: Cast on 144, join in the round
\n2: k72, place marker, k72, place marker
\n3: p\u00a0until last stitch
\n4 – 23: Working in stockinette stitch until about 3 inches from cast on (mine is 20 rows)<\/p>\n

Start lacy pattern:<\/strong><\/p>\n

24 – 28: *(k2tog, yo), repeat *<\/p>\n

29: *(k4, k2tog), repeat * (120 stitches)<\/p>\n

30 – 38: Working in stockinette stitch until about 6 inches from cast on<\/p>\n

39 – 56: Working in ribbing k2, p2 until about 8 inches from cast on<\/p>\n

Arm holes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Working in the front part (60 stitches)<\/strong><\/p>\n

1: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last 3 stitches, ssk, k1\u00a0(58)
\n2: p1, p2tog, p\u00a0until last 3 stitches, ssp, p1\u00a0(56)
\n3: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last 3 stitches, ssk, k1\u00a0(54)
\n4: p1, p2tog, p\u00a0until last 3 stitches, ssp, p1\u00a0(52)
\n5: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last stitches (51)
\n6: p1, p2tog, p\u00a0until last stitches\u00a0(50)
\n7: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last stitches\u00a0(49)
\n8: p1, p2tog, p\u00a0until last stitches\u00a0(48)
\n9: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last 3 stitches, ssk, k1\u00a0(46)
\n10: p1, p2tog, p\u00a0until last 3 stitches, ssp, p1\u00a0(44)
\n11: k1, k2tog, k2tog, k until last 5 stitches, ssk, ssk, k1\u00a0(40)
\n12: p1, p2tog, p2tog, p\u00a0until last 3 stitches, ssp, ssp, p1\u00a0(36)<\/p>\n

13-22:\u00a0working in stockinette stitch<\/p>\n

23: k8, bind off 20 stitches, k8<\/p>\n

24-31: stockinette stitch, ending with wrong side
\n32: bind off, cut the yarn<\/p>\n

Join new yarn to the other side. Repeat step 24-32.<\/p>\n

Working in the back part (60 stitches)<\/strong><\/p>\n

1: k until last stitch\u00a0(60)
\n2: p until last stitch\u00a0(60)
\n3: k1, k2tog, k2tog, k until last 5 stitches, ssk, ssk, k1\u00a0(56)
\n4: p until last stitch\u00a0(56)
\n5: k1, k2tog, k2tog, k until last 5 stitches, ssk, ssk, k1\u00a0(52)
\n6: p until last stitch\u00a0(52)
\n7: k until last stitch
\n8: p until last stitch
\n9: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last 3 stitches, ssk, k1\u00a0(50)
\n10: p1, p2tog, p\u00a0until last 3 stitches, ssp, p1\u00a0(48)
\n11: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last 3 stitches, ssk, k1\u00a0(46)
\n12: p1, p2tog, p\u00a0until last 3 stitches, ssp, p1\u00a0(44)
\n13: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last 3 stitches, ssk, k1\u00a0(42)

\n15: k1, k2tog,\u00a0k until last 3 stitches, ssk, k1 (38)
\n16: p1, p2tog, p\u00a0until last 3 stitches, ssp, p1 (36)<\/p>\n

17-22: working in stockinette stitch<\/p>\n

23: k8, bind off 20 stitches, k8
\n24-31: stockinette stitch, ending with wrong side
\n32: bind off, cut the yarn<\/p>\n

Join new yarn to the other side. Repeat step 24-32.<\/p>\n

Finishing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Using crochet hook, add the single crochet to the arm opening and bottom part of the dress.<\/p>\n

Weave in ends. Blocks.<\/p>\n
