This is video tutorial step-by-step about how to crochet the bean stitch. This stitch is great to make a scarf.

This project can be made with any size yarn on any size crochet hook.

In this tutorial, I used cotton-rayon yarn (DK weight) and size 3 mm crochet hook (Japanese size: 5/0).

The Bean Stitch Crochet Pattern

Start with chain an odd number of stitches.
(In this tutorial, chain 17)

Insert hook into 3rd chain from hook.

*Pull up a loop, yarn over. Insert hook into same stitch, pull up a loop again. Yarn over and pull through all 4 loops. Chain 1.

Skip 1 stitch. Repeat pattern * until last row.

Chain 2. Start pattern * from 3rd chain from hook.
