Hook: 6/0 – 3.5mm (F)
Finished size: Diameter 2.75 inches

Pattern base:

Round 1: In a magic ring: ch 2, hdc 7, connect with sl st [8 sts].
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each st, sl st [total 16 sts].
Round 3: Ch 2, (hdc, 2 hdc) repeat around, sl st [total 24 sts].
Round 4: Ch 2, (hdc, hdc, 2 hdc) repeat around, sl st [total 32 sts].
Round 5: Ch 2, (hdc, hdc, hdc, 2 hdc) repeat around, sl st [total 40 sts].

Pattern body:

Round 1: Ch 2, hdc in each st in back loop only, sl st [total 40 sts].
Round 2 – 12: Ch 2, hdc in each st, sl st [total 40 sts].

Pattern pom-pom edging/border:

Ch 6, 3 dc in 3rd loop from hook, holding back last stitch of each dc, until there are 4 sts on the hook. Yarn over and pull thru all loops (half pom-pom stitch made).
Ch 3, make the second half pom-pom stitch in the 3rd loop from hook.
Join with a sl st in the bottom of first half pom-pom. Secure with ch 1.

Ch 3. Sl st in the next 4th space.

Repeat pom-pom edging pattern around.

Cut the yarn. Fasten off.
