Note: This is a free tool. Your projects are saved only in this browser on this device, and the tool does its best to keep them safe. However, your progress may be lost if you clear your browser data, use private or incognito mode, or switch to another device or browser. For important projects, we recommend also writing down your row count.
Features of This Free Crochet Row Counter
This online row counter is designed to make tracking your crochet and knitting projects simple, whether you’re working on a small amigurumi or a big blanket. It works right in your browser on your phone, tablet, or computer, with no app to install and no sign-up needed.
- Row and round counter: Tap the big + button each time you finish a row or round. Made a mistake? Use the − button to go back.
- Stitch counter: Keep track of your stitches within the current row. You can choose to reset the stitch count automatically every time you start a new row.
- Project timer: Start the timer while you crochet and pause it when you take a break. It keeps counting correctly even if your screen turns off or you close the page, so you’ll always know how much time a project really took.
- Current length: Write down how long your piece is so far, in centimeters or inches. This is handy for scarves, blankets, and bag straps.
- Multiple projects: Working on more than one thing at a time? Add as many projects as you like and switch between them. Each project keeps its own rows, stitches, time, and length.
- Keep screen on: On supported browsers, you can keep your screen from turning off while you count, so you don’t have to unlock your phone between rows.
- Automatic saving: Your progress is saved in your browser automatically, so you can close the page and continue later on the same device.
- Save as image: Download a summary card of your current project as a picture, perfect for keeping on your phone or sharing your progress.
- Save as PDF: Save or print a summary of all your projects, including rows, stitches, time spent, and length.
- Safety confirmations: The counter asks before deleting a project or resetting your counts, so you won’t lose your progress with one accidental tap.
