PATTERN
R1: In a MR, ch 3 (count as dc), dc 11. Join with sl st. [total 12 sts]
R2: Ch 3, increase x11, dc in the same space with ch 3. Join with sl st. [total 24 sts]
R3: Ch 1. In the next 8 spaces: {(sc, sc), (hdc), (dc, dc), (tr), (tr, dc), (dc), (hdc, sc), (sc)}. Repeat this pattern 2 more times.
Join the white yarn and slip stitch to close Round 3. Cut the pink yarn and secure it.
R4: With white yarn, ch 1. (Sc, sc, increase) repeat 11x. In the last 2 spaces: sc, sc, then sc in the same space with the ch 1.
Cut the white yarn, use tapestry needle to make invisible join to close the round.
From the top, count 10 spaces to the right and 10 spaces to the left (this will be the toe area), then place stitch markers.
Flip it to the wrong side. Start Round 5 using the pink yarn.
Attach the pink yarn to the space between the stitch markers, starting from the right side and working towards the left.
R5: (Ch 3, dc), (2dc), (2dc), skip 2 spaces, {(2dc), (2dc), (2dc), skip 2 spaces} 2x, (2dc), (2dc), (2dc).
R6: Flip. {Ch 2, dc, tr, tr, (dc, ch 2, sl st) in the same space, sl st, sl st} 3x, Ch 2, dc, tr, tr, (dc, ch 2, sl st) in the same space.
Finish off and cut the yarn.
R7: With white yarn, make sc in the back loops only to create a border around the toes. Work 2 sc in the corner or pivot areas to ensure a smooth turn. For the spaces between the toes: insert the hook in the first space, then insert the hook in the second space, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on the hook, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on the hook.
Finish off and cut the yarn. Secure all the yarn tail.
