Vintage Red Polkadot Frame Bag Sewing Project

This is my favorite to-go bag so far. I used this almost everyday now. I plan to make frame bag like this in another color to match my outfit. Maybe I will use invisible thread next time, since I can’t sew the fabric to the metal frame nicely. Outer fabric is cotton-linen, batting is using interfacing 2 mm one-side fusible, and for the liner is polyester fabric special for lining. Frame is made from metal, 20 cm length. OK, it’s not a tutorial post. There are so many tutorial how to make frame bag like this, just google them 🙂

Denim Ipad Bag Sewing Project

I made this denim ipad bag for my husband. On the first day of wearing this bag, his friend wants this bag so my husband gave it to him. I need to make something like this again, but with better technique. I will use denim-thread instead of regular cotton thread. I will attach the zipper in proper position to make it stronger. I will add the key strap, my favorite feature of a bag. Material is from scrap denim fabric cutted from bottom of a jeans. You can see it in the photo below.

Watercolor Waves Crossbody Bag Sewing Project

Watercolor Waves Crossbody Bag Sewing Project is my first bag sewing project. Outer fabric is cotton canvas, Watercolor Waves from P. Kaufmann, which is really bright and fun color to work with. I wished I used regular cotton fabric, but I only had this at that time. I added strap attached to the lining to hold the key, inspired by my Kipling bag. The strap is very helpful. You don’t have to spend time to look for your

Children Backpack Sewing Project

Children Backpack Sewing Project. This is a fun project that took me 7 hours non-stop to make. I’m very happy with the result. I used red polkadot cotton-linen fabric for the outer, interfacing 2mm 180 gr with adhesive one-side from cotton and polyester for batting, and creamy white polyester fabric for lining. I also used 0.6 mm black elastic to make ruffled-style for the front pocket. I used zig-zag stitched for that, which worked perfectly for this project.
