How to Knit an I-Cord | Relaxing & Therapeutic Knitting

Let’s make an easy i-cord bow using double-pointed needles.
In this tutorial, I used 2 mm milk cotton yarn and 4.5 mm double-pointed needles. The finished i-cord measures approximately 8 mm in diameter.
Start by making a slip knot and placing it on your needle. This counts as your first stitch.
Cast on 2 more stitches. You should now have 3 stitches on your needle.
Slide the stitches to the other end of the needle.
Pull the working yarn across the back of the stitches and knit all 3 stitches.
Repeat: slide the stitches to the other end of the needle, pull the yarn across the back, and knit all 3 stitches.
Continue until your i-cord reaches approximately 40 cm in length.
When you’re happy with the length, bind off all stitches and cut the yarn, leaving a short tail.
Shape the cord into two loops to form a bow.
Use a separate piece of yarn to wrap around the center.
Tie a secure knot at the back.
Adjust the loops until they are even.
Weave in any loose ends.
Your knitted i-cord bow is now complete.
